Reply 1# lyzxc: Wherever there are zinc smelting plants, there is also smelting slag. Different plants use different processes, and as a result the slag varies as well. Acid-leached slag typically contains about 10% lead and 200 g/t of silver; the zinc content in the slag also varies and can be recovered.
For the extraction of silver from domestic wet zinc smelting slag, mineral processing techniques are generally used. Currently, wet methods are used for silver extraction, with an efficiency of up to 80%. In mineral processing, flotation is generally employed for silver extraction, but its effectiveness is limited by the silver content in zinc slag. Wet silver extraction involves first converting silver into ionic form in order to recover it.
The contents of valuable metals in the residues resulting from the leaching of different raw materials vary greatly. The raw material used by our company is zinc monoxide produced in volatilization kilns; the lead content in these residues is generally above 30%, indium amounts to around 200 grams per ton, and silver is about 100 grams per ton. Other valuable metals such as tin and germanium are also present.

The specific content depends on the mineral and the process used; at present, very little has been recovered. It is generally also limited to those with high metal contents in the slag, such as zinc, lead, germanium, cadmium, and copper. Since different materials are recycled, different processes are required, which is too complicated. Therefore, most of it is sold externally.
