A question about Heat Exchanger Master

Regarding the hot and cold fluids corresponding to the shell and tube sides in Heat Exchanger Master. Can I choose it myself? It seems like the software fixes it for me. The shell side contains a cold fluid – can it be replaced with a hot fluid? The tube side contains a hot fluid – can it be replaced with a cold fluid? Is it limited by version? Still no such feature?

By the way, there is a persistent issue with PROII that can help users avoid confusion when using it: in heat exchanger calculations, once the temperatures on both sides are determined – one side as “hot” and the other as “cold” – they remain fixed. Mathematically, “hot” and “cold” are dependent variables that cannot be specified by the user. However, PROII excessively requires the specification of “hot” and “cold”. This issue has been raised many times with the PROII development team, who also admit that it violates the principle of \"degree of freedom,\" but they refuse to make any changes; no matter how many versions have been released, this problem remains unresolved. Later, some of them explained that \"the team is large, there is high staff turnover, and the mathematical skills of the members aren’t very good; these are all problems...\" In short, there were many jokes from the foreigners, and the efficiency of team operations wasn’t always high either – in some cases it was even lower than ours.
