As the title suggests, for a waste heat boiler of what evaporation capacity, should automatic feedwater control be used for the boiler feedwater?
The automatic adjustment range for the feedwater to the waste heat boiler is determined by selecting the size of the electric control valve based on the evaporation rate; a larger evaporation rate requires a larger electric control valve, while a smaller evaporation rate requires a smaller one. Our factory’s large models can handle 30 tons per hour, while the smaller ones can handle 3 tons per hour; both are equipped with automatic control systems.
We normally produce 40 tons of medium-pressure steam, and about 40 tons of water are added as well. The water addition is controlled by electric valves, with interlocks in place in the DCS control room. Bypass operation is enabled under normal conditions; the opening degree of the water addition valves is adjusted according to the level of liquid in the drum. The liquid level is usually set at 70 centimeters, and the amount of water added changes accordingly
