In low-temperature methanol washing processes, methanol is generally added when it seems that there is a shortage of it in the system; it isn’t replaced entirely. The focus is on the liquid levels in various towers and tanks within the system, as well as on whether the methanol can circulate properly and whether those liquid levels can be controlled effectively. As for how much replenishment is appropriate, it is determined based on experience, taking into account the liquid levels in each tower and tank during circulation. These levels should not be too high; after gas is introduced and absorbed, the volume of methanol circulating increases, which can make the liquid levels appear very high.
It is determined based on the system’s liquid level as well as the level of ammonia in the system.
A complete replacement should not be necessary; there is some loss of circulating methanol, as fresh methanol is continuously added. As long as the regeneration effect is satisfactory, there is no need for a complete replacement
Just top it up normally; there’s no need for a complete replacement. Methanol is usually quite clean, so there’s also no need to discharge anything
When the ammonia level in the system becomes too high, some ammonia-containing methanol is discharged, and fresh methanol is added regularly.
About 2 tons of methanol are consumed per day; 1.6 is the ideal amount
Why replace it? After operating for a while, the system can be replenished with some methanol.
Methanol is too dirty; it contains crystals, and if the outlet gas does not meet the standards, the only solution is to replace it. I have already done that
