Dear students, may I ask what desulfurization process is used for treating the top and tail gases from your atmospheric and vacuum distillation units? How effective is it? How much is the voltage drop? Thank you!
We do not desulfurize it and discharge it directly. In the past, recycling it while it was in a condensed state caused fires at the bottom of the heating furnace; therefore, we no longer recycle it
Does direct emptying have no impact on the environment? That smell is really nasty.
The constant-pressure and reduced-pressure oil and gas are compressed by a compressor and sent to the oil and gas tank in the catalytic unit’s distillation tower
We used desulfurization towers under normal pressure and reduced pressure, employing solvent-based desulfurization; however, it seems there were some design issues, as the solvent contained some hydrocarbons.
Ours is directly routed to the flare system, and after passing through the gas holder and compression desulfurization, it is then used in the main plant.
If it is discharged directly into the flare system, the back pressure will be relatively high. May I ask what the final outlet pressure of your exhaust gases is, and what vacuum extraction method is used?
Our crude oil has a low sulfur content; the sulfur level in the gas is relatively low as well. The gas is not desulfurized, and after passing through the gas liquid separation tank, it is sent to a heater for combustion
