Hydrogen is produced as a by-product of electrolysis; due to the use of small-scale electrolyzers, the output is low, with a hydrogen production rate of around 200 cubic meters per hour. The actual gas stream contains some water vapor. Do any of you who are familiar with this situation know if it’s possible to use a fan to increase the pressure slightly and then burn the hydrogen using a burner to utilize its thermal energy?

Heat energy can be utilized, which is a pity; downstream products can also be processed. 15,000 tons of sorbitol can be produced, and given the cost of hydrogen production via methanol reforming at 2 yuan/m3, this is a very competitive option. Our company also has a large amount of hydrogen available for external supply, at a rate of 65,000 cubic meters per hour. If any colleagues up there have interesting projects that involve the use of hydrogen, please share them; we’re open to setting up operations in Chongqing.

We also have a lot of hydrogen – 200 million cubic meters per year. One large source of hydrogen has already been utilized, but there’s still a smaller source for which no suitable partnership has been found yet
