What is the main purpose of a hose station? What media are included?
Hose connection stations shall be installed in locations where steam, as well as unpurified air, water, and nitrogen are required for purging and flushing operations, or where purified air is needed to power pneumatic tools. The service range of the hose connection station covers the area that can be reached by a 15m long hose. It generally includes SWAN (depending on process requirements): S: steam, W: water, A: compressed air, N: nitrogen, along with quick hose connectors.
A hose station, also known as a common material station, is equipped with connectors for common media pipelines; the materials used are typically purge air, nitrogen, and steam. Some manufacturers also provide water (firewater is readily available). Its purpose is to facilitate use by allowing for the connection of temporary pipes in case of emergency situations, thereby ensuring process safety
Generally, it is placed in a spherical space with a radius of 15m; if the process requirements dictate it, the arrangement can be more dense. The Swan units are arranged in a specific order, and the piping design must not have any errors in this ordering
