I have worked in a chemical plant for over 10 years, starting as a worker, moving up to deputy team leader, team leader, section chief, and eventually becoming deputy director. Numerous technical upgrades were carried out there, and I had to work 25 days out of 30. Working the night shift means it’s common to not go home for several days in a row if there are matters to attend to. It costs nearly 3,000 yuan in just one month. I have a relative who works as an ordinary worker at a factory that belongs to a central government agency and is involved in the production of rocket components; he works one shift per week, with not much work to do, and his monthly salary is over 5,000. He also receives red envelopes during holidays. A few former colleagues work at the chemical plant affiliated with the power plant, earning over 7,000 to 10,000 yuan per month. Why is the gap between industries so large? Hey, thinking about it isn’t interesting at all. :'(
