XRD issues of easily oxidizable catalysts

I have a question for experienced forum members: when characterizing F-T synthesis catalysts, can the catalysts from which the heavy waxes have been removed using extraction methods be stored in liquid paraffin before being used for XRD analysis? F-T catalysts are prone to oxidation, so the separated catalysts probably cannot be used directly for characterization, right? I wonder how everyone handles it?
As long as air is exposed, XRD analysis cannot be performed; the material has been oxidized. The best approach is to use in-situ XRD
