Could some expert offer some guidance? Right now, I’m unable to increase production due to this issue; it’s really bothering me
Which manufacturer’s pelletizer does your company use? This problem needs to be solved through practice; let me tell you how our unit does it. It relates to the pump; what is the head pressure of the cooling water pump used, and what is the water pressure reaching the granulator system? What is the flow rate of the three streams of water? Try increasing the water flow. It is related to water temperature; check the temperature of the demineralized water to see if the temperature of the water being reused is too high. Is the overflow water even and steady, and can the water flow rate be increased further? Is the flow rate of the spray water sufficient, and does it achieve a cooling effect? It relates to the cast strip plate; I’m not sure what model of cutting chamber you use, and what is the size of the nozzle orifice for the cast strip plate. It’s possible to modify the nozzle orifice by making it smaller and increasing the number of orifices. Also, make the slices finer
The PS (polystyrene) we produce – is this related to the pressure of the pelletizing water pump? What you said does indeed have a lot to do with flow rate and temperature. However, this is a model 1200 pelletizer, which is relatively new, and there is no experience in operating it in this regard; sometimes it’s difficult to control the amount of water used for transportation, overflow, and spraying. Does your company have any underwater pelletizers of this type that we could use as a reference? Thank you! !
