My workplace is going to hold a simulation competition soon. I did something similar a long time ago, but I’ve forgotten many things. I hope those who know about this can help me solve some of the problems; I’ll be very grateful. 1. Two conditions must be met in order to turn on the small furnace: one is that the temperature of TI1121A must be greater than 200, and the other is that the reading from PIF1101 must be greater than 0.5. The latter of these requirements has not been able to be met, as this parameter was not found neither on-site nor in the DCS. . . . 2. What methods can be used to raise the pressure of the deaerator to 20 KPA? It hasn’t reached this value even under normal conditions. 3. When hotly removing the large blind flange, according to the scoring criteria, points are awarded merely for opening the blind flange; however, no points are given in practice when it is actually opened. Are there any other hidden requirements? (Or is the reaction pressure 0?) ) 4. After the flue gas exhaust fan is put into use (after the standby unit is switched to the main unit), the regeneration pressure remains very high; the waste heat boiler process should be followed as required. Later, by attempting to open the flue gas bypass butterfly valve and removing the bypass water seal, the pressure could be controlled. Is the process different for going through the waste heat boiler, and aren’t there any other backflow valves either? These are just some preliminary questions to stimulate further discussion. I hope everyone will share their experiences and insights while performing simulations, and that we can discuss any issues that arise. Thank you again! :)
The opening degree of HV1 is 50%. ⑩ Adjust the manual output of FIC-1, decreasing it continuously from 100% until the main air flow reaches over 800 m3/min. The on-site purging time is half an hour (3 minutes in simulation). ⑾ Close V12 and the drain valve V08 (G3). Use the top vent valve HV10 and the double-acting slide valve to control the pressure in the settler, PI-2, and the pressure in the regenerator, PIC-1, to be above 100 kPa, in order to carry out pressure testing. ⑿ Address any leaks that occur promptly. ⒀ After the pressure testing is completed (approximately 3 minutes in simulation), open HV10 and V12. Reduce the pressure so that both PI-2 and PIC-1 are below 30 kPa, then adjust the flow rate of the main fan, FIC-1, to 400 m3/min. ⒁ Start the feed oil pump P02, the bottom product pump of the distillation tower P03, and the re-refining oil pump P01 (G1)

I thought it through on my own; regarding the second and fourth issues, I figured out what the problems were: 2. The vent at the top of the deaerator is opened briefly before being closed again. As time passes and water continues to flow in, the pressure rises to 20 KPA, at which point the vent should be opened fully, and automatic regulation can then be enabled! 4. There is another valve that needs to be opened manually after the waste heat boiler’s water seal. To be honest, there are too many parameters listed in the Eastern version; in my opinion, it would be sufficient to include only the most representative data in DCS – that way it will be simple and clear, and easy to understand at a glance!

The parameters displayed on a DCS are generally determined by the manufacturer; it’s likely that they remain the same regardless of who produces it
OP, have you done simple single-column distillation? Is it possible to get a perfect score?
The competition version at that time was very difficult; it was necessary to complete the switch-over within 45 minutes! Unless some parameters are given up~
