Is there any future in the piping field?

Is there a future in being a piping technician in the petrochemical design industry? Is the craftsmanship better or is the piping better?
Working hard can lead to a promising future. Before starting work, I thought that process engineering was much better than piping work; but after actually starting to work, I found that there wasn’t that big of a difference between the two. Someone who understands process engineering can also do great work in piping; reaching levels of 7 or 8 floors in one’s career can bring significant financial rewards.
