I work on electrolytic polishing of reduction furnaces used in polysilicon production. I can’t be called a teacher, but I believe that using electrolytic polishing for the inner wall of the reduction furnace’s bell shape structure is better than mechanical polishing. Electrolytic polishing yields a higher reflectivity, enhances the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel surface, results in a smaller internal surface area, and is also more energy-efficient. The use of a tank-based, dynamic, continuous electrolytic polishing process delivers excellent results with high precision; the electrolytic reaction is thorough, and the corrosion-resistant layer formed on the stainless steel is very thick, which is something that other electrolytic polishing methods cannot match.
