Can a piston compressor with a current of 40A be started continuously after star-delta starting and stopping? It cannot be started; so what is the interval time?
Are you referring to the rated current or the actual measured current? As the capacity of the motor increases, the start-stop interval also increases. At low temperature, it can be restarted every 8-10 minutes. But it’s best not to do it for the third time in a row. In the hot state (i.e., after operating for some time), it is best to wait at least half an hour in between. Because in the hot state, the insulating paint is soft. The starting inrush current may cause friction in the coil and lead to insulation failure.
