The effectiveness of such scrapers depends on the strength of the chain plates; if the strength is insufficient and the chain plates break frequently, it will cause significant disruptions to production. If both rows of chain plates break without being detected in time, it will create great difficulties in maintenance work. A feeder that transports materials in a bulk form and operates in a chain-like manner; also known as a star feeder. Its functions include feeding materials, enabling speed control (through the use of an inverter to adjust the rotation speed and thus the amount of material fed), and preventing air leakage – for example, one can be installed at the lower cone of a cyclone separator to serve this purpose.
