Coalescer filters are generally divided into those for separating liquid and gas, as well as those for separating liquid from each other. So what is the difference between a coalescer filter used for separating liquid and gas and a filter designed for such separation? Does it refer to differences in structure?

The coalescer you mentioned is a gas-liquid coalescer, whose filter elements are used to separate liquids from the gas (which can be water, oil, amine solutions, etc.). Such coalescers typically have multiple sets of filter elements, and they are capable of handling relatively large flow rates; at an operating pressure of 0.5 MPa, each individual filter element can handle a flow rate of 1200 Nm3/H; It needs to be specified where the oil-gas separation filter element you mentioned is used. As mentioned above, is the main medium oil with gas to be separated from it, or gas with oil to be separated? In the case of separating gas from oil, it definitely involves two types of filters with different functions; whereas separating oil from gas can be classified under one category. Filters used for this purpose are generally referred to as oil-gas separation filters and are typically installed in separators along compressor pipelines. Those used in process pipelines are called coalescing filters or filtration-separation filters.
