Under the same physical properties and the same smoke flow velocity, if the heat transfer coefficient for a transverse scour arrangement in a staggered configuration is assumed to be 100%, then it is 90% for a transverse scour arrangement in a aligned configuration, and 30% for a longitudinal scour arrangement. To achieve the same effect, the smoke tube type must increase the smoke velocity.
