Two screw pumps, one in operation and one as a backup. One is working properly, with an outlet pressure of 15 bar. The other unit reached an outlet pressure of nearly 45 bar, causing the motor to overload. Inspection of the pipeline from the pump’s outlet to the inlet of the two parallel units, as well as the check valves, revealed no signs of blockage. The pump rotates normally and the flow rate is also normal; why is the pressure so high? It’s so confusing!
Is the check valve in the correct direction? If there is no blockage from the pressure gauge to the pipeline junction.
Could it be an issue with the set pressure value of the safety valve on the screw pump?
The outlet check valve isn’t broken, is it? The difference is also too large under the same current and speed conditions.
Please check the external pipelines, valves, and other facilities; there is definitely nothing wrong with the pump itself! Contact the manufacturer to reduce the pressure setting of the automatic return valve in order to protect the pump and motor.

Has the outlet stop valve lost its weight plug (the valve disc has fallen off)?

Reply to 3# yinguowen512: This screw pump does not come equipped with a safety valve. Pressure can only be released by the pipeline safety valve.
Reply to 5# pump-fans Thanks! The check valve at the pump outlet has been inspected. We don’t have automatic backflow valves on our pipelines. The key is that the same piping is used for the other pump.
