Motor driving centrifugal pump: start-up and shutdown issues

The motor drives the large centrifugal pump. During the start-up and shutdown of the motor, could significant vibration or shaking occur, leading to wear of components that come into contact with the shaft, such as the shaft bearings?
It shouldn’t happen, right? ! But I’m not sure it won’t happen. Since it’s not clear just how large the \"motor-driven large centrifugal pump\" referred to by the original poster is, in actual production the largest centrifugal pumps I’ve come across have a flow rate of 6,000 cubic meters and a motor power of 800 KW; I’ve never seen anything larger than that. I have never seen a situation like what the original poster described occur.
