What is a driving voltage? Please explain. Does it refer to a direct current voltage? How is it measured?
When an electric current passes through a coil, it generates a magnetic field; this energy is known as excitation, or magnetization. The current and voltage that are generated are called excitation current and excitation voltage; excitation current is also referred to as excitation voltage. That is, the DC current and DC voltage supplied to the coil. The device that provides this current and voltage is called an excitation unit. If measurement is required, simply measure the DC voltage at both ends of the carbon brush.
