Propylene towers are quite tall, with heights of 110 meters to 150 meters being common. Assuming a plate spacing of 500 mm, your tower would also fall within this range; each section would be around 50 meters long, and dividing it into two sections gives an approximate value. In actual construction, the tower is too tall, making lifting difficult and increasing costs significantly. Use as few segments as possible.

Our company’s propylene distillation column is divided into two sections, each 59 meters high, with a total of 192 trays. The distillate from the top of tower A is fed into the bottom of tower B, while the fluid at the bottom of tower B is pumped to the top of tower A.
