The main tasks from the hydrostatic test to the 168-hour trial operation period include: insulation work on the boiler body, flue and air ducts, as well as steam and water pipelines; acid cleaning of the boiler; individual unit and subsystem trials of the equipment in the boiler area; ignition and pipe flushing; no-load testing alongside the start-up of the entire power plant; load-testing; and load-shedding tests along with the turbine, along with full-load operation trials.

It includes secondary sealing, improvement of the final pipeline section, insulation work, masonry, furnace drying, pickling, pipe cleaning, restoration and defect correction of the pipelines. It also involves individual unit tests, partial system tests, subsystem tests, and finally a 168-hour comprehensive trial operation. The “168” for a boiler refers to its 168-hour trial operation.
The hydrostatic test merely marks the completion of a phase-specific task related to the boiler itself; in terms of the entire boiler system, only half of the work has been completed. Tasks such as the improvement of platform escalators, pouring, installation of blowers and exhaust fans, fabrication and installation of smoke and air ducts along with sealing tests, defect correction, use of baking ovens, purging of main steam pipes, and restoration of pipes.
It can now also run at full capacity for 92 hours. After the hydrostatic test, insulation work is carried out on the furnace body, flue and air ducts, as well as steam and water pipelines; followed by single-unit testing, as well as operations such as baking the furnace and pipe flushing
