Is there any conflict between registered safety engineers and registered chemical engineers?

I originally planned to apply to become a registered chemical engineer this year, but missed the application deadline. I saw online that it’s still possible to apply to become a registered environmental engineer, and in order to improve my skills, I want to obtain that certification first. If I apply, will it affect my ability to apply to become a registered chemical engineer next year?
There is no conflict, but environmental engineers and chemical engineers have different required years of experience for the same and related fields; this should be taken into account when applying.

If I pass the exam, can I register for both the Certified Safety Engineer and Certified Chemical Engineer credentials?

That’s reassuring. I applied for the Safety Engineer exam a few days ago; I’ll put in more effort to pass it this year, and then prepare for the Chemical Engineer exam next year!
Shandong isn’t an option; you can’t apply for it along with another program – you have to choose just one
