We ordered a batch of control valves. We sent the process parameters to the manufacturer; after calculating those parameters, the manufacturer sent us a version of them for us to review, so that we could determine whether the parameters were correct and whether the valve type was appropriate. ? ?

It’s simply a matter of calculating the CV value, the diameter, the materials used for various parts of the valve, and the type of accessories; there are formulas for this, or else one can ask them for a calculation software.
Based on your actual parameters, calculate the actual CV value for your operating conditions, and then compare it. If the values are similar to each other, then it’s correct.
Chemical products are diverse, just like when we buy watches. Your data sheet represents your purchasing intentions, but it only covers the main parameters. Different products from various manufacturers can meet these main parameters, yet all the secondary parameters vary. So this is the purpose of reviewing the technical quote.
I would like to check whether, with this calculated CV value, the valve operates at an opening degree of around 40%–70% when functioning properly, and whether it often operates at a low opening degree or fully open. This is how I usually proceed; I hope experts can offer their suggestions.

Therefore, it is recommended that the original poster verify the following details: 1. Operating conditions – name of the medium, form of the medium (liquid, gas, powder, particles), temperature of the medium, ambient temperature, maximum pressure, operating pressure, maximum flow rate, normal flow rate, and minimum flow rate. II. Technical parameters of control valves: diameter, material, CV value, leakage (sealing) rating, response speed, noise level, explosion protection rating, requirements for pneumatic accessories, etc. III. Others: If the poster is a business professional, they can include a clause in the purchase contract or technical agreement stating that \"the supplier bears full responsibility for the proper selection of control valves.\"
