Water content in pure benzene

To prevent us from adding water to benzene, some customers have strict requirements regarding the water content in our pure benzene – it must be below 300 ppm. Fellow professionals in the coal chemical benzene hydrogenation industry, could you share your experiences? What is the level of control over water content in pure benzene at your companies?

Controlling 300ppm should not be difficult. In the reformation process, it is well achieved to keep the moisture content in the feed oil at no more than 15 ppm – what does that even mean?
It’s definitely no problem if it’s below 300; the pure benzene with low moisture content produced from reprocessed or crude benzene feedstocks has a value of around 100
It should be possible to use online moisture monitoring in this stage as a preventive measure, right?
