There is a project that uses toluene, isopropanol, and acetic acid. Since the amounts of toluene, isopropanol, and acetic acid used are very small, and acetic acid tends to crystallize making long-distance transportation difficult, the client hopes to place these three storage tanks outside the workshop, near the outdoor equipment where these solvents are used. Can it be considered based on the storage tanks inside the device? 2.0.18 What does the phrase “not directly involved in the process” mean in the definition of the plant’s storage tank group? The storage tank inside the facility probably refers to the intermediate tank (which is supplied from the tank farm and does not require loading/unloading using tank trucks), while these three tanks need to be loaded and unloaded using tank trucks; they can only be placed in a tank farm located far away from the workshop (the large distance is necessary due to the centralized layout of the tank farm, as well as the clustered arrangement of other tanks). Can storage tanks that require direct loading and unloading using tank trucks be used as internal storage tanks in a facility?
As a storage tank within the unit, it can only hold a quantity sufficient for up to 24 hours.

It’s just that the piping for acetic acid presents some challenges, as long-distance accompanying pipes are required. Also, does anyone know what is meant by the phrase “do not participate in the process” when referring to the storage tanks in a plant?
Storage tanks can also be installed within the device; instead of calling them device storage tanks, it’s sufficient to refer to them as equipment inside the device. The distance between them should be arranged in accordance with the relevant specifications.
