GB/T25198 specifies that the specification model of a head indicates its minimum forming thickness, but it does not state how to calculate this value. How do you calculate it? Tell me, I use the calculated thickness plus the corrosion allowance – I’m not sure if that’s correct

Personal opinion: The thickness of the blank for the cover = calculated thickness δC + corrosion allowance C2 + negative deviation of steel plate thickness C1 + stamping thinning amount C3 + rounding value C4. Minimum thickness after head forming = Blank thickness of the head – Negative deviation of steel plate thickness C1 – Stamping thinning amount C3
It can’t be generalized. 1. When the excess thickness needs to be included in the area required for reinforcement at the openings, the minimum thickness of the head after molding = the initial thickness of the head – the negative deviation C1 of the steel plate thickness – the reduction in thickness due to stamping C3 ; 2. When the excess thickness is not included in the area required for reinforcement of openings, the minimum thickness of the head after molding = calculated thickness δ + corrosion margin C2
The factor of opening reinforcement should be considered. This is generally how I do it: 1. First, calculate the nominal thickness δn of the head as δn = calculated thickness δC + corrosion allowance C2 + negative deviation of the steel plate thickness C1 + rounding value C4. 2. Then, use the nominal thickness δn as the rough thickness 1 of the head, and replace the nominal thickness with \"Rough thickness 1 – Stamping thinning amount C3 + Negative deviation of steel plate thickness C1\" for verification in the calculation software. 3. If the verification fails, use a thickness that is one grade thicker than the nominal thickness δn as the rough thickness of the head 2. Then replace the nominal thickness with \"Rough thickness 2 – Stamping thinning amount C3 + Negative deviation of steel plate thickness C1\" to conduct the verification in the calculation software. If this still fails, increase the rough thickness by another grade to thickness 3, and repeat the process until verification is successful.
