The problem with isoprene

The catalyst in the reactor of our device is an aluminum silicate with magnesium added to it; there seems to be a small amount of polyacetalaldehyde present as well. I asked others about this, and it seems that isobutylene + polyacetalaldehyde => isoprene. Could anyone help me confirm whether this reaction equation is valid?
