The existing heat exchanger has a highly toxic and explosive fluid in the shell side; its design temperature is 320 degrees, and its design pressure is 1.0. The tube material is highly toxic but not explosive; the temperature is 350 degrees and the pressure is 1.0. An electrostatic plate needs to be connected to the saddle, but the customer has set requirements regarding the resistance of this electrostatic grounding plate. Is there any standard for such a grounding plate? Thank you

I work in the field of equipment design. If the medium mentioned in the drawings is explosive, then it should be specified in the technical requirements for static grounding that the requirements for static grounding are outlined in the relevant standards, with the grounding resistance to be less than 10 ohms. To be honest, I couldn’t find any source for this requirement either. But this is how it’s handled on similar drawings from large design institutes.
