Given the limited installation conditions for the centrifugal pump, can the outlet be lowered by 3 meters before being raised again?
Yes, but the outlet valve should be as close as possible to the pump outlet for future maintenance. The outlet pipe should be welded using 90-degree elbows to ensure smooth flow within the outlet pipe and reduce flow losses.
If the pipeline at the pump outlet is not unobstructed, it will definitely affect the performance and operation of the pump
The outlet piping should be kept as straight as possible, as this reduces resistance; if it’s truly unavoidable, use as few bends as possible – 45-degree bends are preferable to 90-degree bends. Although this may cause some resistance, it won’t have a significant impact.
