What is low-nitrogen fuel for engines? What is the nitrogen content? What is the nitrogen content of the hydrogenation feedstock? What is the typical nitrogen content in the reaction distillate (refined oil) after a certain period of reaction?
It seems that units for hydroprocessing or reforming have been put into operation. For producing low-nitrogen oil, straight-run oil is generally used; naphtha is employed for gasoline hydroprocessing, while crude distillate oil is used for diesel hydroprocessing. The nitrogen content is less than 200 ppm. Depending on the properties of the crude oil, the feedstock used for hydroprocessing varies accordingly. Generally, catalytic diesel has a nitrogen content of 2,000 to 3,000 ppm; after gasoline refining, the nitrogen content is usually less than 0.5 ppm, and for diesel it’s less than 50 ppm
