Our company uses two-stage desulfurization for the purification of methanol gas; the towers are 4.4 meters high and are equipped with \"888\" catalysts. Recently, we have noticed an increasing resistance in these towers. Do you have any practical solutions, or ways in which this can be adjusted during production?
There are various reasons for the increase in tower resistance, which need to be analyzed and ruled out one by one to find an appropriate solution. What is your production volume, and what is the hydrogen sulfide content in the gas? Regeneration status? Was it working properly before? What is the circulation volume? Liquid components? pH value, etc. I hope the more detailed the original poster is, the better it will be for resolving the issue.
First, improve gas purification to prevent impurities such as coal ash and tar from entering the desulfurization tower; second, enhance solution regeneration. Third, take advantage of parking opportunities to wash with water or remove the filler.
