Stall prevention valves are all located on the outlet pipe. . . . What is installed at the inlet are guide vanes. . .
I agree with the comment above; anti-surge protection is installed at the outlet, and when the air volume entering the system is insufficient, air is returned from the outlet to the inlet to compensate, thereby preventing surge

Surge occurs when the outlet pressure is high while the compressor’s volume flow rate is low. When surge happens, the anti-surge valve opens, acting as a barrier against the excessive pressure and thereby forcing an increase in the compressor’s volume flow rate. Once the flow rate exceeds the surge threshold, the compressor can operate normally again. . .
The surge valve should be installed on the relief pipe located in the outlet pipeline bypass. A silencer with a capacity corresponding to the maximum flow rate should be connected after the relief pipe. According to the latest design specifications for blower stations, the surge prevention system must include at least two sets of pneumatic or hydraulic surge control valves that can open quickly, and their flow capacity must be sufficient to meet the maximum exhaust volume requirements of the blower. The anti-surge control valve should be linked with the blower for control.

The outlet pressure is high; from a safety perspective, it should definitely be installed at the outlet.

The anti-surge valve for the gas generation blower is installed at the inlet, and not on the outlet pipe as mentioned above. It is installed at the inlet; when there is no air flow, the current drawn by the fan is very low, and no air is compressed, so surging does not occur. If it is installed directly at the fan outlet, it simply cannot prevent surge. By installing an exhaust valve at the outlet, surge can be prevented, but the fan will operate at a high current level, which inevitably increases power consumption. We are installed on the inlet pipe.
