In the catalysis workshop, I saw a steam generator that used oil slurry as the heat source; the water used was softened water at 2.4 MPA, and it was capable of producing steam at 1.0 and 3.5 MPA. However, I have a question: when steam at 3.5 MPA is generated, doesn’t backflow occur, given that the pressure levels are different?

It is impossible to generate 3.5 MPa of steam; reverse flow will definitely occur. At that point, water cannot be added, and a steam pocket will form, which is very dangerous.
The failure to return is caused by an increase in the pressure of the boiler feed water pump, as the feed water has its own supply source
The steam generator uses oil slurry as the heat source; the water is softened water at 2.4 MPA, and it is capable of producing steam at 1.0 and 3.5 MPA. The 2.4 MPA pressure serves only as the source for the water, and a pump is used to increase the pressure of the water before it enters the steam generator. Similarly, the generation of low-pressure steam goes through a pressure-reduction process in the pipelines.
Water must be pressurized to over 3.5 MPa before it can be fed into the steam generator. It is estimated that the steam generator is segmented, first generating 3.5 MPa steam and then 1.0 MPa steam, thereby fully recovering heat while maximizing quality.
