It serves an environmental protection purpose, as the nitrogen pressure is higher than that of chlorine, thereby preventing chlorine leaks
The poster is probably using a turbine; nitrogen sealing is mainly used at the sealing points to prevent chlorine leakage. Generally, the pressure for the primary nitrogen seal is 0.03–0.05 MPa, while the pressure for the secondary nitrogen seal is 0.05–0.08 MPa. There may be slight variations in these values, and adjustments are usually made during the equipment calibration process!
Our company uses instrument air, with the pressure of the sealing air controlled at 48 KPa. The purity of chlorine is 98%.

It should be at a higher pressure than chlorine, to be set according to one’s own process requirements
