Is it necessary for a small factory to have a set of vibration calibration instruments?

Our company has two centrifugal compressors, with capacities of 3000 KW and 4000 KW respectively. Each unit is equipped with six vibration/displacement monitoring systems (probes, extension cables, preamplifiers). For vibration/displacement sensors, is it necessary to use a vibration calibrator to perform regular calibration?
How much? Considering the cost, just buy one for 10,000 to 20,000!

I don’t think it’s necessary; vibration testers are quite expensive. One of the shaft vibration detectors in our company, which is from Shanghai, costs over a hundred thousand yuan – the cost is quite high. Personally, I think it’s not very useful to use it only once during maintenance. When servicing the air compressor, check the appearance of the vibration and displacement probes to ensure there is no wear. The transmission signal line is undamaged. Just perform zero-point calibration during installation; by regularly checking the curve graph, there should be no problems.
