Which is the largest methanol producer in the country now? What is the production capacity?
The largest is Shenhua Baotou’s 180 MTA facility. Boyuan Chemical also has a large capacity in terms of its multiple production units. However, Shenhua’s project is part of the first phase; there aren’t many facilities in China with a capacity of over 100 MTA. Among those dedicated to methanol production, Jutai has a capacity of 100 MTA, but its operation isn’t efficient, with an actual production capacity of 2,000 MTPD
