What changes are required to replace the packing seal with a mechanical seal in a D-type multi-stage pump?

I have a multi-stage water pump and would like to convert it to use a mechanical seal I don’t know how to make the first modification; I hope the experts here can give me some advice{:1_90:}
Change the container-type seal – it’s simple; no other changes are needed. Just measure the holes for the seal gland bolts and compare them with those for the pump’s packing bolts. Make sure a sealing gasket is placed between the sealing gland and the pump body.
Reply to 4# ziyuetong: It’s a bit more expensive, around 1.5 to twice the price of those in packaged form. However, not all manufacturers of mechanical seals offer packaged versions; few small pumps come with such packaged designs
