Determine the material by checking the chlorine moisture and sulfuric acid concentration. Use carbon steel if possible; avoid fiberglass. The drying effect has little to do with the material of the equipment.

Fiberglass will do; ours is also made of fiberglass
The bubble column is made of fiberglass reinforced plastic; carbon steel cannot be used. Prevent corrosion when process parameters are unstable.
Is fiberglass prone to causing problems at the internal PVC weld points under conditions of large pressure fluctuations, leading to acid leakage? For carbon steel, as long as the acid concentration at the bottom of the tower is kept above 96, there are generally no major issues. Moreover, fiberglass does not have as long a lifespan as carbon steel
Each of these two materials has its advantages and disadvantages. Carbon steel is stronger than fiberglass, but it requires careful control of acidity levels; fiberglass is resistant to corrosion but cannot withstand large pressure fluctuations. Under normal conditions, however, their drying effects are similar. We use fiberglass, and it has been in use for almost ten years now; no major problems have occurred. We only need to perform maintenance once every two years, so overall it’s working quite well.
