Why don’t you ask the technical staff at their company to measure the specific gravities of the oily wastewater? The specific gravity of this oily wastewater is also estimated to fall within a certain range, varying depending on the composition of oil and water; it’s possible to have them take multiple measurements and use the average value.
The user can simply measure the specific gravity; there’s no need to make a big deal out of it.
