Our company has a distillation system that uses reduced-pressure distillation, with a distillation temperature of 240 degrees. To prevent danger arising from air entering the distillation system in the event of a sudden power outage or failure of the vacuum pump, we plan to install a check valve at the inlet of the vacuum pump. This material is slightly corroded; I’m not sure which check valve to use. I would appreciate your advice.

Reply to 4# Waiter: No, I wonder if you’ve noticed that ordinary water-jet vacuum pumps are equipped with check valves, whose main function is to prevent water from flowing back into the system. So it’s useful to add a check valve. Even if you install a check valve after a power outage or when the pump stops, the system’s vacuum level will still gradually decrease, and eventually air will get in, right? So, for safety reasons, install an explosion vent and a nitrogen seal.
Reply to 5# nglcx2003cn: As long as air does not enter the system suddenly, no danger will occur. Moreover, the pipeline valves need to be closed after stopping the pump; therefore, as long as there is sufficient buffer time, that will suffice. This material is not prone to explosion, but has a higher likelihood of catching fire.
