In the circulating fluidized bed boiler of our plant, the refractory lining inside the return valve has come loose and turned red due to overheating; it was repaired, but it came loose again within less than a month. This has happened several times now. Please ask experts to analyze the reasons. Thank you!
Are there heat-resistant claw nails for welding? Also, expansion joints need to be provided.
The refractory lining inside the return valve has fallen off; it is likely that the external steel plate has been heated to a red heat. The furnace must be stopped immediately for thorough repair. A partial repair will not suffice; the component in question should be removed and rebuilt according to the drawings. If it is not possible to shut down the furnace for treatment, monitoring of the return valve should be intensified to prevent the accident from spreading. Prolonged heating of the steel plate to a red temperature leads to high-temperature oxidation, which ultimately results in the steel plate at that area becoming perforated and allowing the hot material to leak out; on one hand, the leakage of ash causes environmental pollution ； Secondly, it can cause feeding failures, or even prevent feeding altogether, affecting the operation of the boiler.
