I have a question for those involved in instrument and automatic control design: what technical documents do you produce? When is it necessary to create an instrument circuit diagram?
Instrument circuit diagrams are being produced less and less these days; it generally depends on the requirements of the client, as some clients request them while others do not. The instrumentation field typically produces the following documents: instrument specification sheets, list of instruments, on-site instrument wiring diagrams, comprehensive instrument data sheets, automation design descriptions, diagram catalogues, instrument layout diagrams, on-site instrument installation diagrams, cable routing diagrams, CCTV layout diagrams, fire alarm system diagrams and layouts, instrument tray diagrams, floor plans of cabinet rooms, grounding system diagrams, gas pipeline system diagrams, electrical connection diagrams, instrument heating installation diagrams, instrument circuit diagrams, and typical instrument installation diagrams.
