Turn off under normal conditions, turn on during startup, and turn off after the pump is in normal operation
Open it before starting the pump; after normal operation, it can be left slightly open or closed. It can be opened to release vapor from the outlet when cavitation occurs in the condensate pump
According to the instructions for this pump, both valves should be opened before startup; after startup, the outlet exhaust valve should be closed while the inlet valve remains open. I also want to know why the inlet exhaust needs to remain open after it’s started
Keeping the inlet exhaust open after startup ensures that the pump’s inlet has a high relative pressure head.
