Our company produces plastic film bags for use in the food industry – the kind used to pack 25kg bags of baking soda. Our material is polyethylene, and therefore we followed the GB/T 4456-2008 standard, which is the standard for polyethylene blow-molded films used for packaging. All the necessary equipment, as well as the devices for testing, were ready; we then submitted our application to the local authorities, but they rejected it, saying that since it’s a bag, it can’t be evaluated according to the standards for films. But I believe that polyethylene blow-molded films used for packaging fall under the category of non-composite film bags – so why can’t they be used? Was all my hard work in vain? How to fix this? I’m in tears; emergency help needed

This really can’t help you; there are no regulations on this matter!

Reply to 10# hcwang12345: I would like to ask whether GB/T 4456 can be used as a standard for packaging bags intended for food use? We pack baking soda in packs of 25 kg – can this standard be applied? They say this is a membrane, while ours is a bag, so it can’t be used.
