This clearly does not match the name “acidic water”; generally, the pH value is below 7, and we haven’t yet used steam stripping. . It’s too weird. Let’s discuss what could be the cause; any possible reason will do, such as acidic water with added chemicals, or incorrect sample selection. . ;P.
The original poster doesn’t know much about the basics of chemical plants. Acidic water in chemical plants refers to water that contains dissolved acidic components such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and sulfur oxides. However, in order to absorb these acidic gas components, this water is adjusted to a slightly alkaline pH using ammonia or other alkaline substances, thereby increasing the absorption rate and keeping the acidic components within the absorbent solution. So this water is called acidic water.
Reply to 2# qugd: The condensed water from medium-pressure gas can be referred to as acidic water, and it becomes purified water after being stripped in a stripping tower. But even after purification, its pH value is only around 5 or 6, with the highest values reaching 7.5, and no ammonia or other alkaline substances are added. .
