Our company produces 200,000 tons of sulfuric acid per year from pyrite; the moisture content in the flue gas entering the converter is ten times higher than the normal level. The system has just completed a major overhaul, and at present we are unable to identify the specific cause. We request your assistance in resolving this issue. Process: Rotary kiln---Baking furnace---Waste heat boiler—Electrostatic precipitator--Humidification tower---Cooling tower----Electrostatic demister---Drying tower--Conversion
Is the continuous spraying in the electrostatic demister turned on? If the moisture level is high, it can be turned off. Also, has the temperature of the drying tower been set to an appropriate value?
It is likely that the acidic sludge inside the pipeline absorbed moisture during maintenance, and it was released again once operation resumed.
May I ask about the acid temperature at the inlet of the drying tower, the acid temperature at the outlet of the tower, the flue gas temperature at the inlet of the tower, and the flue gas temperature at the outlet of the tower?
