Just like on the 2nd floor, of course. But I remember they are usually small pipes used in construction work; I’ve forgotten exactly how big they are. . . .
Of course. TIG welding has low efficiency and high costs! But the manufacturing process yields good results, with excellent apparent quality! However, in engineering practice, except for 25mm pipes which are all welded using TIG welding, most other pipes are first welded with TIG welding as a base layer (to ensure cleanliness inside the welded pipe and maintain good quality of the base layer), with MIG welding used for the final coating layer!
It’s possible, just like with cars – it’s entirely possible to do it manually, but the efficiency is low. If there’s back protection and the tubes are of large diameter, then a lot of argon gas will be used. According to SH3501-2002 standards, full argon welding is required for small-diameter tubes, while argon arc welding as a pre-welding process is required for the rest. Tungsten inert gas arc welding is a type of non-consumable electrode gas shielded arc welding; it uses the arc between the tungsten electrode and the workpiece to melt the metal and form a weld. During welding, the tungsten electrode does not melt; it merely serves as an electrode. At the same time, argon or helium is supplied through the nozzle of the welding torch for protection. Additional metals can also be added as needed. It is commonly known internationally as TIG welding. Tungsten inert gas arc welding is an excellent method for joining thin metal sheets and for performing root welding, as it allows for good control of heat input. This method can be used for joining almost all metals, especially suitable for welding metals such as aluminum and magnesium that form refractory oxides, as well as reactive metals like titanium and zirconium. This welding method produces welds of high quality, but its welding speed is slower compared to other arc welding methods.
Would that construction company go to such lengths to refine everything in detail?
Determine the welding method based on the welding process~~! ! Everything is done using TIG welding; the construction company is going to be devastated! !
For your reference, for pipes with a thickness of less than 6.35, you can use TIG welding regardless of whether they are made of stainless steel or carbon steel.
I don’t think it’s necessary; you can’t use TIG welding for an industrial water pipe either – that would be a waste. Generally, for applications where high purity of the medium is required, we use TIG welding as a base layer, such as in instrument air pipelines, in order to reduce slag and ensure cleanliness inside the pipes
But it’s possible. I don’t know what the wall thickness and outer diameter of your pipe are. The cost is high, and I guess most construction companies would not agree to it.
