The guided wave radar keeps showing 0 and out of range, and the same issue persists after draining the liquid. Please advise
Check whether the upper and lower range limits are set incorrectly. Next, it is necessary to check whether solid material is adhering to both ends of the waveguide rod (cable).
With guided-wave radar, it sometimes shows 0 and sometimes 100 after liquid is drained; this is considered normal interference. However, if it shows such values again after the signal strengthens due to normal liquid inflow, then it is abnormal. Is this a problem that has been present since installation, or did it arise after using it for some time? Additionally, if this issue arises after using it for some time, it is necessary to check whether the module inside the transmitter is securely fixed, and whether the probe is corroded or contaminated; usually, cleaning it out resolves the problem. If this is the case from the start of installation, it indicates that the parameters have not been set correctly; measure and calculate them again to make the settings proper

I’ve encountered a situation where a guided-wave radar was used to measure diesel level; when the medium contained water, the dielectric constant changed, which caused the instrument to give erratic readings. Another issue is that there are foreign objects in the waveguide rod, and its installation is problematic.
It’s probably a problem with the range setting; the specified range is smaller than the actual range of variation
