The refined oil depot has four groups of tanks, with each group containing two tanks filled with 90 and 93# gasoline; Diesel: 0# in groups of three tanks, 10# in groups of two tanks, and -10# in groups of two tanks. There are 4 oil transfer pumps available as backups for each other. Is this arrangement appropriate? Are there any issues with it? Is it too little? Can they serve as backups for each other? (I’ve seen discussions on this forum suggesting that systems can serve as backups for each other; could you tell me what guidelines or books serve as a basis for this?)
Additional note: The capacity of each oil tank is over 3,500 cubic meters
It is best to keep gasoline and diesel separate, with the pumps for gasoline serving as backups for each other, and the same holding true for the diesel pumps
Please specify the displacement of your pump. From a purely categorical perspective, there is no issue with this arrangement; generally, gasoline and diesel can be used interchangeably after draining one from the system, and it’s possible to switch directly between gasoline or diesel of the same type without any problems.
Separate pumps should be installed for the 5 types of materials
Gasoline and diesel should be kept separate! If it is indeed not possible to separate gasoline from diesel due to objective constraints, then the desired outcome can be achieved through process adjustments by switching between different procedures. However, I recommend having one backup pump for each type of fuel – one for gasoline and one for diesel – which should not be in use on a regular basis but still require maintenance. A certain amount of manufacturing allowance must be reserved during the design process. Thank you
